The white flowers of Greater Stitchwort (Stellaria holostea) may be seen in various places around the Wildlife Site including the ditches in the corners of Field 2 in April-June.
Lesser Stitchwort (Stellaria graminea) may be seen from the footpath at the top of Field 2 throughout the summer. Its tiny white flowers have five petals that are each split into two so that they appear to have ten petals, whilst the larger petals of the Greater Stitchwort are only split along part of their length.
Bog Stitchwort (Stellaria alsine) occurs in the margins of the pond in the rush pasture, Field 3. Its attractive little flowers are different from other Stitchwort in having the two halves of its split petals widely separated.
