Pheasant Berry (Leycesteria formosa) is not a native plant but it is present in Downlee Lodge Orchard. It has pendulous clusters of attractive flowers in late Summer followed by reddish-purple berries in Autumn. As its name suggests the berries are relished by birds and particularly by pheasants.
