Mulberry

The Mulberry (Morus nigra) is not a native tree. There is one in Field Corner W3. It has inconspicuous flowers May-June but is known for succulent edible fruit in August-September and attractive yellow foliage in Autumn. We rarely see fruit on this tree and suspect that it is eaten by birds before we get to it.
