There are a number of mature Alder (Alnus glutinosa) trees near the stream at the eastern edge of Field 4, a lone Alder on an old field boundary in the middle of that wet field and a younger one planted near the ditch in Field Corner W1 (see Map). Each tree carries both male and female catkins.
