The attractive Nuthatch (Sitta europaea) resembles a small grey woodpecker with pale buff underparts. One or two are seen regularly throughout the year scuttling up and down tree trunks and along branches of trees in lightly wooded areas around Downlee Lodge and on feeders in the garden.
