Yellow Rattle (Rhinanthus minor) is an annual plant with yellow flowers and ripe seeds that rattle inside their capsules. It is semi-parasitic, getting some of its nutrients from the roots of nearby plants, thereby restricting grass growth and increasing biodiversity by allowing other species to thrive. It is frequent in the wildflower meadow and abundant in the hay meadows, Fields 1 and 2, throughout the summer.
