Lady's Smock (Cardamine pratensis), also known as Cuckoo Flower, has attractive pale-lilac to white flowers that appear in springtime, April-early June. It occurs sparsely throughout the haymeadows, Fields 1 and 2, and more frequently in the wetter areas, Fields 3 and 6. The flowers are attractive to insects and particularly to the Orange Tip butterfly which appears here as soon as the Lady's Smock start to flower.
