Dragonfly and Damselfly

Southern Hawker Dragonfly (Aeshna cyanea) and Common Blue Damselfly (Enallagma cyathigerum) are seen occasionally at the pond in Field 3 and scrape in Field 4 and the Southern Hawker in other parts of the Wildlife Site, usually in late summer.

Broad-bodied Chaser Dragonfly (Libellula depressa) has been seen only once here. That was resting on a small tree next the footpath and railway line at the top of the hayfield, Field 2, in June 2019
